Are you allowed to include rebates? Do you have a used market you can trust so you won't pick up an ex-miner GPU?

 

If used, R9 290 (maybe X)

If rebates are allowed, R9 390 (depends on current deals)

If neither, the R9 380 4GB would be your best bet. I wouldn't pay extra for the X version.

Yes by 10%, though I'd really look into a R9 290x on eBay for like. $200-$230, beats both of them

I would definetly save the extra 10-30$ then buy the 390, will be much better than the other options.

R9 380, R9 380x or  R9 390, just be sure to have a 600W+ PSU if you want to get the R9 390, and no, you CPU will not botteneck any GPU at this price point.

It's probably 15% better on average at 1080p when combined with a strong cpu like what you have. But I'd spend the extra $15 on that PowerColor PCS+ R9 390 for $280 after rebate. The R9 390 is a beast of a gpu, much stronger than the R9 380, just a night and day difference.

Don't worry about your CPU - it'll very likely have enough gaming headroom for some time to come and it won't bottleneck anything but high-end SLI GPU configs.

This. 290(X) is a great deal at those prices. Just make sure they're not mined. Otherwise, a 380(X) will suffice.
