Valve should make external graphics boxes

I think valve should start making the PCIe extender boxes like what Razer and other companies has just shown off at CES. To me it sounds like a great idea as the Steam Machine just looks like a failed product.

Happy with lots of opinions on the topic.

With the launch of the Steam Controller and Steam Box / Steam Link, we've been able to see valve isn't good at hardware. Valve needs to stick to what it does best, selling other peoples games.

The power of the steam machines is only a small part of why they did not do well. One of the main reasons is that it didnt really know what to be. It was stuck in an odd zone between a PC and consoles, where it isnt as simple as getting a ps4, or xbox one, yet is generally not as customization as a desktop.

The Steam Link and the Steam Controller weren't failed products IMO, I have the controller and I'm about to get the Link. I had a laptop running SteamOS and I could stream any game in my library over wi-fi WITHOUT any noticible lag. I had my laptop right next to my pc, which is the furthest away from my router, so I think the whole streaming concept is REALLY sound.

Other company's do it better and SteamOS sorta sucks (linus made a video about the reasons why in his steam machine analysis)
