Starter Gaming Laptop

I am looking to get this laptop as I have a mac what crashes gmod every 30 mins, do you think this is a good laptop, it can run arma 3, I am in highschool so I can't get a PC what isn't moveable so this laptop would be fine. Tell me if theres any other good laptop, 1000$ Budget.

If your feeling brave you can get a used dell m6600 or hq eqv and put a gtx 880m in it for about 1000.

i like this! 

it is possible since they use the mxm standard and honsetly it will give you a great performing gaming laptop for a good price

used gtx 880m's and the like is easy to find on ebay

y40 is a piece. I had one and with the underwhelming gpu (11fps in heaven benchmark)  really bad TN screen, throttling for no reason no matter what i did and poor Qc and CS i would not get a y40. 

R9 M275 is superior to a 940M

Panel is poor yes

I did. under 40% it would throttle in whatever powerplan I was in to 800mhz. I did like how the y40 looked though. Very classy.

Y50 is even better :D

Odd for that GPU thing. Might have been a bad sample
