ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 120/240

tomas710

I know, another AIO, but i think there are a couple of things that may be interesting.  For the 240 unit, asetek unit (yes, another one) 38mm thick, so basically, a Corsair H105, but it comes with 4 fans (that's something you don't see often) and the price at Amazon is 79.99$, which is VERY competitive. Other than that, it's another AIO unit, but because of the price and the possibly saved money if you were planning on push/pull, i think it's an interesting offer for those looking for a 120mm or 240mm AIO. Maybe Linus will do a review, they haven't done coolers in a while...

I'm pretty sure push/pull doesn't improve temps that much

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

I'd rather get an AIO with a better pump. AIO is kind of a long-term investment, 3-4 years ish. But this is good for budget builds.

When I make a post, unless I am the original poster or ask for a reply, don't bother replying or quoting me because I don't read them.

I thought 1st gen asketek had the huge waterblock/pump assembly?

like this?  (i have one of these btw from my old cyberpower rig that I never should of bought lol, except the tubing is different on mine its like the cheapo plastic with ridges)

you're probably right. but it might help when fans are running at low speeds. mayyybe.

It does. If you have 750 (iirc) RPM Gentle Typhoons (legendary noise/performance ratio) and run them at 200, you basically get silence. Pairing them up you get much better static pressure. It stops mattering anywhere near as much with higher fan speeds.

For a high-fin-per-inch, thick radiator like the Black Ice Nemesis GTX, it can make a big difference.

it makes it more quiet. that's why you use push pull.

It's a very cheap price for 4 fans and a thicker than usual rad. Love to see some comparison benchmarks, that price has me curious.

where did you get that information?

because it says it is kind of a new pump and the cooler is not even on the market that long.

i bought it for a friend and the pump was very quiet, not like the early asetek coolers. it also performs very similar to the h105.
