Sli pci-e lanes

Would i need to remove my PCI-E wifi card to get into sli cause my cpu has only 16 lanes so it would be 8x 8x for the cards or could i make it work with the wifi card?

Nope, the wifi card works with the chipset.

Probably not, the PCIe lane(s) for the slot with the WiFi card probably come from the chipset rather than the CPU.

 

Does depend what slot you put the card in though.

Oh and by the way, the MSI Z87-G43 does not support SLI anyway.

I know this im probably going to upgarde to a Asus Z97-A

Your board does not support SLI. NVIDIA requires x8 as a minimum, and the last PCIe slot is x4 maximum.

If you're thinking of SLIing your 770 I honestly wouldn't even bother anyways.

This would be a test i would be getting the 2nd 770 for next to nothing with them i would wait for pascal. I need to upgrade my psu anyways too.
