Full time working members how long does it take you to complete a game?

bydus

I was wondering how much time does it take you to complete the game, do you have a specific time you spend on gaming each day/week ? I have a rough time managing time or either i'm too tired to play or there is something else to do. I'm guessing its a hobby but does it bother you you don't have enough time to game ? Completing a game such as fallout would take me couple of months, the only good thing is I don't have to worry about games being delayed or waiting for them to come out as I usually wouldn't have time to play them right away anyway because i'm still on diffrent titles. Thanks

Depends on the game.

Finished my first mail-storyline in Fallout 4 in about 35-hours spread across an entire week (where weekends would be 8+hrs spent in-game)

Shorter games I can probably finish in one sitting or two (CoD Ghosts took me 7-8 hours spread across two days)

With commuting accounted for and a normal work day, I'd say I'm spending 10 hours away from my PC, 6-7 hours spent sleeping and the rest gets randomly divided between gaming and everything else that pulls me away from my PC

I work 40 hours a week and also have a total of about 1.5 hours to drive per day.

It depends on your circumstances (kids etc)

I'm engaged and my fiance knows I'm a gamer but we've no kids so I do get a fair bit of spare time to play.

I'm a youtuber though so I spend most of my time recording SC2 meaning I don't specifically do single player playthroughs

It really depends. I work 9 hours a day and I still find time to game. I can game up to 4-5 hours / day. Some days I don't game at all because well, my SO needs some attention too.

priorities haha

I work about 60 hours a week, but I manage to squeeze a few hours inn at night. I do most of my gaming on sundays. It usually takes a week for a normal 6 hour campaign, but Fallout I've put about 74 hours into it haha.

I have a 40hr+/week job and a one year old. I've been playing Witcher 3 for four months and still haven't finished it.

I'm lucky to get 2-3 hours a week. :(

yes it bothers me. I take minimum of a few weeks and upto few months to finish a game.

Gaming is a very interactive hobby that requires engagement, concentration and decision making from the player. If I come home late, tired I am less likely to game.

Also unlike reading / watching tv you need to put in a solid chunk of gaming time per session to enjoy it. Gaming for 15-20 min sessions doesn't cut it.

I work 12 hour shifts (nights) but have 3 days off a week so I get plenty of gaming time in :) I normally do a couple of longish PC gaming sessions a week when I'm off, maybe squeeze an hour or two in after work in a morning but I'm normally too knackered. Might just veg with the PS4 from like 6:30 to 8:00 AM after work. (Yeah I'm still part peasant :P)

I work 10 hours a day and do not game on the days that i have work because it mess up my sleep schedule (night shift) so i game heavily on the weekend so i will usually just blow through a game all in one stint so 6 hours
