Pre-order date for HTC Vive announced

Valve and HTC will start accepting preorders for the Vive VR headset on February 29 2016, just a few weeks before the device begins to ship in April HTC CEO Cher Wang has confirmed. Oculus Rift will start shipping to consumers on March 28.

 

No price released yet

Nice. Not one for preordering or VR, but nice. The Vive is an interesting product IMO.

I agree. But no way i preorder it. I will buy it when its tested and when its available without expensive gimmicks i dont need.

Absolutely. I never preorder anything, I always prefer to read a few reviews and wait for sales before shelling out, especially for something so expensive as the Vive.

I'm betting on $700. Still too much imo but I'd be more comfortable paying that for a Vive than $600 for a rift.

If they manage to pull it off, congrats to them and good for us, but I seriously doubt it. My bet is on $699.

I don't have high hopes for a cheaper-than-rift price lol, I would certainly love to be proven wrong though.
