I think Windows XP was the best but Windows 10 is my favorite right now.

Double glazed provides a low U value. 

Having ten windows would just be stupid because you would loose so much heat through the glass

It depends where the windows are, if you have them in different rooms, the heat loss might not be as bad as if they are next to each other. If you had 10-glazed windows, you would probably have quite good heat loss prevention.
