Critical_structure_corruption

Go to solution Solved by GoodBytes,

The BSOD error means that a kernel file is corrupted. You said you tested your RAM, so it can be faulty SATA cable (but it should cause other strange problems), or the data on disk is corrupted.

If you can't do a System Restore to bring your system back in time, then you have no choice to re-install Windows. If you have another system, and you want to backup your data, you can plug the HDD to that second system, and backup your data from there. Be sure to do a virus and malware scan on the backup data, just in the case it was either that modified a core system files and causing you the problem.

Keep bluescreening, just got back from vacation. I cant boot into safe mode, i get a system error if i try. And thr computer crashes before i have enough time to get he minidump

ntoskrnl is the os' own fault. So it's probably an OS error.

Did you try a system restore?

Not yet, I'll try that. Was able to finally boot in safe mode. Malwarebytes didn't detect anything.

It probably won't, ntoskrnl means probably the os itself is in a bad shape.

Umm not that i know of, afaik there is an alternative way tho, but you need to do some stuff first on a different pc, i don't know

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Check it out and maybe you can get something going. But i have 0 experience with it. But it looks easy.

You will need a usb stick tho, probably 4GB or more.

Thanks

I did already do a virus and malware scan, but I will check my sata cables. I have fast internet, and there is nothing I really want to save. (I keep important docs and files on cloud) So I will probably just do a fresh install of windows 10

The ISO is 3.28GB but you forgot that the tool can also include updates. Microsoft recommends 4GB FREE after format.

Considering that you can get an overkill, well reviewed, fast (both read and write) USB 3.0drive in 32GB for like under 35$ Canadian, and under 10$ Canadian for anything OK in 16GB without even shopping for any prices, I don't see how it is a problem.

You can also use the disk method.
