My friends asked me to build him a PC for under £400, can anyone suggest the best build for his money.

But untill then i built a part list assuming a bunch hope it does you well regardless,

and you have a upgrade path you can replace the cpu with a 4790k and the gpu with a newer one after that when you save up some more!

Yeah i did overspend on things like the gpu i was taking the whole budget, but it does leave a good upgrade path for later. i would love to see what you come up with though

Edited my post, first build a lot over second not a lot over (A tenner can't be much) And just saying, the 380 is superior to the 960.

True. unless you are a die-hard fan of the green team but, i went back and checked i guess the sale is over. it was 50 euro cheap on amazon a minute ago

A little over, can not be any higher than £400 unfortunately. Was thinking maybe an AMD CPU would be best seeing as it'll be purely for gaming? They aren't that bad so will probably do for the budget.
