Someone needs to come up with a script that takes certain forum topics like ones that contain "960?" and automatically post a reply that says

Get a 380.

I'm going to TamperMonkey this.

4GB... The Powercolor PCS+ is usually cheaper.

Water cooling?  No, not on a mid-range gaming GPU.  For the price of water cooling you can get R9 390(X).

ok so I'll get a 380x but what brand? I don't care much about price as long as it's under (220 on Amazon used) I've looked through. The reviews for asus are shit. Thx

what if the person needed shadowplay or just wanted nvidia?

 some people just want nvidia plain and simple, and if in there post it says so, then the 380 would be recommended

Both ASUS and Gigabyte have bad coolers.  MSI has one of the best coolers.

Sapphire and MSI are the best

XFX, PowerColor, Club3D are solid

Asus and Gigabyte are crap

I need a card that will outperform the 960 for $200 i don't care if it's AMD or NVIDIA I would like to see some AMD but if not then go for it anyway.

I need to play

COD

CS:GO

Minecraft

Grid 2

GTA 5

I think I'd go for a Sapphire Radeon Nitro R7 370 OC GDDR5 ^^

[never touch a running system]

The 370 is quite a bit slower than the 960. The 380 is the one you should be looking at.

ftfy

Asus are crap overall.

Shadowplay is not the only option for recording games fyi.

OBS, XSplit and lot more offers same or better option.

It's like saying iPhone is better, because it has the flashlight. Silly imo.

But you could say, "What if the person wants CUDA cores for GPU based rendering?" instead of mentioning shadowplay.

Oh, I do prefer Nvidia most of the time. Just because I live in India, Nvidia cards are cheaper than the AMD cards.

R9 380 2GB costs more than 960 4GB. :P

But there are some benefits in Nvidia that AMD users cannot get just like the CUDA cores that I mentioned.

At the same time, AMD cards performs better than Nvidia cards (same price range) on average.

So it's a tie tie (sometimes). :)

Yes, you're right! I accidentally thought about a GTX 950 replacement ^^;

270X = 950

370 < 950 :P

370X > 950
