Cpu be hurt in cold weather?

I am getting my cpu shipped to me from florida, all the up to northern ontario. will there be condensation of shorting out? or even the cold hurting the cpu?

Pack it well so it doesn't get wet but the cold can't hurt it when you can overclock them with liquid nitrogen.

Check the temperature specifications.  Most electronics say operating from 0 to 30, and storage from -40 to 40 (deg C) but of course some things are very different (CPUs can "safely" get up to almost 100 C and be operated below 0, as long as you prevent condensation.)

 

Just make sure you let it warm up before turning it on so there is no condensation left :)

About -180C Depending on cold bug, where sandy will do about -40C :(

probably, since cargo bays are not pressurized or heated.  I'd guess around -20 or colder.

There's no need to worry. Shipping is fine in cold weather. Make sure you let it warm up to room temperature before installing it and you'll be ok

People operate CPUs down to about -170C, -20C is not going to hurt the CPU at all. It will come in a sealed plastic container so there will be minimal exchange of its minimal air with that of the surrounding package so its not even doing to get damp if left in the rain. Seriously there are no issues here at all.
