so i was running cinebench just for shits and giggles and had speccy running with it to look at temps.

is this cpu just so damn frosty or is it not using all its power? cooler is hyper  212

Task manager, details, Cinebench, Right click, set priority realtime,

Note: your screen may freeze don't panic if it does, it will last through the remainder of the benchmark.

What cooler are you using? Hard to evaluate temps without that info.

What cooler?

It's possible they could be that low.

do what @Ronnie76 said. This will prioritize the task for windows so it is viewed as more important and therefore gets more resources allocated to it.

I wonder how many times I've said this today xD

Temps seem a little lower than I'd have expected, but not unrealistic. The score is as expected. Just did a couple runs on my overclocked i5-3450, and it only got ~450 cb (but that's with Folding@Home using a bit of CPU power to help the GPU fold), temperature hit 54C on a Noctua NH-U12S @700-odd RPM.
