GA-X99-Gaming 7 WIFI

Would be the appropriate motherboard from Gigabyte Gaming 7 Series

with the following CPU Support List: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=5128

Hi,

I am going to build my own pc and I just checked the CPU support list of the motherboard (GigaByte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7) I want to use. (http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=5481)

The CPU "Intel Core i7-5820K" that I want to use is not listed. Does anybody know if the list is just not up to date? I just want to be sure, that the CPU works on the motherboard.

Would be great, if somebody could help me.

Thanks,

bloXr

The gaming 7 is lga 1151, while the 5820k is lga 2011-3

The i7-6700k would work on that board.

Yes that mainboard has the correct socket as it is X99 so it features the LGA2011-3.
