Just get the R9 390 ffs. It's better than the GTX 970 and you can use freesyinc with it.

well, i wanted to get the sapphire 390x. but the card is just too damn ugly, and other brand of that card is just too pricey.

and in addition, i kinda play lots of nvidia gameworks game

Then why did you get a freesync monitor to begin with? There is usually a non freesync version of each monitor out there for just a little less.

I would recommend buying no cards from Gigabyte for AMD cards.

Voltage locked, Poor cooling. Not the best.

Sapphire, MSI, XFX, Powercolor is the way to go.

You'd be fine.

The monitor will work just fine. Freesync won't work though.

Have you considered buying an R9 390?

It's bit faster than a 970 and has 8GB of VRAM.

If you live in same state as mine and not far I would trade my 970 for 390 but oh well it would work fine as a norm monitor. I got a freesync monitor with 970 lol

Well honestly get the freesync monitor the cost difference is not much from a standard monitor of equal performance. There is so many more freesync options available to in all monitor size ranges. You can use the monitor without using freesync options. At Least in the future if you would switch to a AMD card will have it already.
