First Time Drone Shopper

Go to solution Solved by BrinkGG,

Does anyone on here know about drones? I have $120 and wanna get a beginner drone to learn with, one that is good for outside, durable, and has a good controller. Also if it has a camera or camera mount that would be cool but not necessary. Thanks :) Amazon is preferred.

Syma X5 or X8 variants are a good start. The camera isn't that great, but it gets you a first person view from the quad.

I just purchased an x5sw myself and love it. But if you do get one, get an extra charger and batteries for it. flight time is only about 7-12 minutes depending on how hard you push it.

The only one in your budget that I would recommend is the LaTrax Alias, LaTrax is made by Traxxas which is a respectable R/C company so you'll have no issues with replacement parts or customer support.

Traxxas stuff is really cheaply made in my experience. I wouldn't really recommend them without aftermarket hardware in them.

Ten years ago I would have said the same thing but a lot of their newer models are actually pretty good for a ready-to-run vehicle.
