G.Skill Ripjaws V Compatible with x99?

Hey big time noob here just wondering if the G.Skill Ripjaws V will work in my asus x99 3.1 pro? Its not listed in the motherboard QVL, but I have read on a couple sites that they are compatible. Thanks in advance for your time.

Yes it will work, but you won't be able to use the super high speed kits.

 

Like the 3400/3600+ kits will have issues running 24/7 on X99.

Ripjaws V only comes in DDR4.

 

 

 

But to answer OP question, yes it's compatible.

 

2800Mhz is fine.

DDR4, yes.
