MSI afterburner and HWmonitor showing two different cpu temps?

When I was using my VBA emulator with the MSI on afterburner screen display of my cpu and gpu temps, the temps for the cpu was 50-66 degrees.  At the same time, When I recheck on the HW Monitor it shows around 100 degrees....Like holy crap..Is this even accurate

laptop specs:

What good will that do?  Give me another random reading? Unless you want me to test out to see if the coretemp results match with either hwtemp or msi afterburner?

I see the same temps in both programs... just probably a poll timing issue.

sensors can be a lil screwy

coretemp works well for me with amd, hence my suggestion. its just another tool you can use to compare
