Hey everyone.

I know this might sound stupid, but can I swap out my stock Razer Blackwidow 2014 keycaps for 3rd party ones?

The reason I was asking is I know they use a "Cherry-compatible" stem on the switch and that I can remove them - I have done in the past, but spacing might be an issue or are they all standard sizes?

I just want to "Flare" up my desktop since my keyboard is not the back-lit version and as such, looks pretty plain, even with the carbon fiber I have badly applied to it.

If I can switch out the caps, can you suggest any good replacements? I know I can order some from WASD, but are there any places I can get custom orders?

Thanks for your help.

UPDATE: Turns out WASD DO support the Blackwidow, just most of the bottom row, like what @pwn_intended stated, is not standard, as such they do not carry those keys. But the rest look like they will fit just fine.

It looks like the blackwidow 2014 uses the same bottom row layout as the corsair kb's. This is unfortunately not standard and keycaps are really difficult to come by that will fit.

All of the other keys won't be a problem.

When in doubt, re-format.

Doesn't Razer use knock-off switches? Not sure if the tolerances match with MX-oriented caps.

All of the cherry "knock offs" are supposedly compatible with standard cherry keycaps. The tolerances shouldn't be an issue.

When in doubt, re-format.

Yes you can. The switches shouldn't be an issue at all, as they're using the same stems as Cherry switches.

What do they know of England, who only England know?
