I would like to know how i can squeeze every last bit of power out of my pc BUT, i do not what to ruin it. here are the spces;

 

dell dimension 4600 mobo

intel pen 4 @ 3ghz

nvida fx 5200

2 1/2gb of ram @ 400mhz

250gb ied hdd

350w power suply

and 4 case fans total 110cfm going in and 100cfm going out,and one on my gpu a 60mm

windows xp 32-bit

cooler master elite 430 case

also which cpu cooler would work the best with a 80mm fan, the coper one or i have a aluminum one my pc currently that's just like it.

A better CPU... and GPU and Motherboard and PSU and ram

in other words get a new one

if you really want to keep this one (or don't have the money to upgrade) ummm seriously dude just upgrade to like an apu based system

Even old machines benifit a whole lot from an SSD, what about an SSD?

That's quite a smart decision, however that won't boost performance. If you buy a smaller SSD, such as a 32GB or 64GB you can use the SSD as a cache for the HDD which will improve performance a noticeable amount

I don't think that motherboard can handle SSDs

It should have 2 sata ports. One fore the HDD and one for a SSD, you can get cheaper SSD's to accommodate not having the ability to run off a sata 3 or 2 connection

I would rather you spend your money on a new system. Pretty cheap nowadays for a system that is much better than what you have right now.

im going to upgrade but i want to use the parts instead of them just siting there. so ill buy a hdd then a psu then ill get the rest of my pc which will be;

7770 asus
