or a more simple question :3 is an i7 the same size as an i5 and if so will it fit into the socket?

Not really sure what you're asking, but the i7-6920HQ is a mobile CPU and is not socketed.

Its a wha now?

A CPU you would find in a laptop. It's also soldered to the motherboard by the laptop manufacturer rather than socketed.

A lot harder than it sounds..

Near impossible to do by hand I'm pretty sure.

Oh so its no use to me? xD

Yup, you can only get it in laptops. Also, you said you have an i5-4440, which is LGA1150. That's still a good CPU...

xD so I would have to get an MQ?

Clarify things please: Are you using a Laptop or PC??? You said you have an "i7 4440" which by itself does not exist so i'm assuming you have an i5 4440. That is a good CPU for almost anything except maybe rendering. If you really NEED an i7, not a single mobile CPU will work. Something like a i7 4790k would fit. Forget HQ and MQ when you are not on a mobile plattform.

Can you download something like CPUID Monitir and screen shot it? You may need to upgrade something else.

Better

The "Haswell" i5-4440 is still a powerful CPU -- and it still stacks up near the top of the list.

What is the reason to upgrade your CPU (other than "better")?

Are some of your games / programs not running at your expectations?

What programs / games you are referring to?

BTW, I (or most of us) has never heard of a  "7869" motherboard. Is this system a pre-built PC (i.e. DELL or HP)?

If so, can you give us the make and model of your system (i.e. DELL EXP 8300)?

We do know, as mentioned, your i5-4440 is a desktop code-named "Haswell" Processor on the Intel LGA 1150 desktop socket.

Better

First off, if you are gaming on this PC, get a dedicated GPU before changing your CPU. If you definetly need a better CPU, something like a i7-4790k would be ideal.

I looked it up, it's a motherboard from an Acer prebuilt PC.

Edit: Probably the XC-705, that's one that has the i5.

The problem with getting a good GPU is it wouldnt fit in my case since its quite small
