AMD R9 390 8GB as main graphics card and GTX 960 2GB as a PhysX card

Hi, I had just ordered a Sapphire Nitro R9 390 a few days ago and I am upgrading from a GTX 960 and I wanted to know if i can have the 960 as a PhysX card. Or should i just sell the 960 and buy an SSD or new case. Thanks

You should've sold the 960 and added on that money to the new GPU, that way you could get an R9 Fury or something. But the card being used for PhysX is pointless, sell it and buy something else that your system needs.

Not at all, I don't know a single person who would buy a nvidia gpu over an amd card just for PhysX

but, if they let AMD users use a PhysX card, they could get some money from the PhysX card purchase obviously

(On a side note, people still care for PhysX? :P)

They already lost any business from me, no matter how powerful of a GPU they can make. Greedy bastards are brainwashing everyone.

What was the last game that came out that uses physx?

Borderlands 2 is the last significant game.

Smart move? Sure, at least from a business standpoint. Anti-consumer? Absolutely.

Anti AMD Consumer. Which is exactly what they wanna do. I dont say i agree with NVidia, but AMD would do the same if they were #1.

I don't know about that. AMD is pretty much open source everything.

Ehh you can use PhysX on the CPU, but that puts more load.

You know there are boatloads of industry leading companies who don't resort to scummy tactics like Nvidia right?

Saying AMD would do the same is a mere assumption on your part.

There is NO excuse for being a douchebag. Not Valve. Not Konami. Not Nvidia.

What tactics are you on about? What makes nVidia "scummy."
