Will there be a massive difference between 144hz and 240hz?

With 2016 coming close and the new tech coming up...

 

With the new monitors and gpus coming soon, that will support 1.3 DP and HDMI2.0.

I have seen that they support up to 240hz..

 

Now, would there be  a massive difference between 144hz and 240hz?

 

I thought 144hz was smooth...

 

I mean can it really get smoother than that??

Im like here, just bought a 1440P 144hz and fury x, with the new gpu/tech coming along the corner....

with every setting maxed out................no.

if you lower aa and shit obs you can.

 

 

plus with dsr, that upscales and puts it back down to your monitor to look even nicer. <--- ignore you have amd.

The returns are diminishing as eventually it becomes more and more difficult to tell the difference, so could you tell a difference maybe (person by person thing), but someone like myself stops noticing at around 100fps

AA in csgo is turned off, always obviously.

yh i know but you need a beast card to do 90+ at 1440p with decent settings.. in some games a fury x will struggle

im not really interested in playing new AA titles with 144fps.

 

Its mainly for csgo and maybe some other games that easily achieve it.

After 90-100Hz, i can't see any difference.

 

Then again i've never seen anything past 144.

 

According to an old study done by the Air Force the max number of frames we can see, and distinguish, per second is around 220.

I'm much more excited for 4K 120Hz monitors than the 240Hz 1440p.

Although, it'd be nice to see how 240 compares to 120.

 

That being said i'm still waiting on the hardware for a single GPU to push 4K @60fps

240hz will make that unnoticeable, just a continuous blur, like moving your hand around in front of your face

Of course those were fighter pilots, whom are chosen due to extreme reflexes, I doubt the average person can see that, I think most will stop around 120-160.
