Every time my computer gets slightly under load it starts to make revving noises like a car. It is very rythem based and kind of frightens me. Is it all coming to an end? Please help. It might be my new cpu cooler, or hard drive, or a bomb idek at this point. I'm open to all solutions. *EDIT* Here is a video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZqkxYxUdL4&feature=youtu.be

Probably the fan curve you have.

As the Temps rise so does the RPM, once it cools back to below the threshold it turns down the rpm which leads to hotter temps and the fan speed increasing thus creating an endless loop until the load on the unit decreases.

Could be wrong.

your computer is a transformer. run as far as you can

but actually, probably just your fans going to 100%

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

Could either be your fans ramping up, or coilwhine coming from the gpu.

If it sounds like the weird electronic revving that the Pagani made in the new transformers movie, then its coil whine. (best description xD)

Here is the recording of it. Doesn't come through very well but if you listen closely you can hear it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZqkxYxUdL4&feature=youtu.be

That just sounds like a loud computer to me it's not a cause for concern but id definitely ramp down those fans or invest in better ones
