Budget pc for my friend.

Mirtsi
Go to solution Solved by Mirtsi,

R9 380 offers slightly higher raw render throughput.

Check the benchmarks here.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-r9-390x-r9-380-r7-370,4178-6.html

It beats 960 in all games.

I see. Told him to go r9 380 712€ over gtx 960 683€. Dunno how strict his budget is. Thanks for help everyone anyway. All i wanted to get best possible hardware for his money! Final build:  http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/GNkfqs

My friend has 700€ to put on hes gaming pc. In Finland our prices are really high and this build costs 678€ in Finland without windows or optical drive. And he wont order them from like germany like I did.

I did this kinda fast, do you have any suggestions? You think that motherboard is way too cheap for that cpu?

He trusts way too much on what i say since i have pretty high end pc. Some of the parts i picked were on sale in the website he was going to order them so that affected my decisions.

Remove that 960 and add R9 380.

Also that case includes PSU which I don't recommend.

Get a different case and PSU from EVGA G2/GQ/GS or Seasonic ones!

380 is 15% faster than a 960.

Look for Source 210 or S340 from NZXT. Those are great cases. But if you want cheaper ones look here http://de.pcpartpicker.com/parts/case/#sort=a8&page=1

So no one sees anything wrong with the cpu, motherboard pair? I first took better case and pcpartpicker gave me

Compatibility Check: Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers.

So i tought i would just cheapout on case too, only problem i saw with that, was that the psu isnt modular so it will be kinda mess, or you have to use some time with cable ties.

But lets say hes going to order this build, maybe swap the r9 380, it wont be complete disaster?

Which PSU you're talking about? Get anything from EVGA G2/GS/GQ or Seasonic ones. If the PSU isn't modular, Cable ties are your friend.

960 is still a great card.

But performance wise R9 380 beats 960. And it's just 5 bucks more.

Swap that PSU to a Seasonic one.

The one is in my build.

EVGA 500B is a terrible PSU. Worst one.

Made little changes.
