I'm looking for a good editing software for editing my gameplay footage and I'm thinking of getting the Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum since it's 30% off on Steam right now. I'm wondering, is it a good editing software? Is it worth the money, or should I get something better like the Adobe Premiere Pro?

I don't really know why I think the Premiere is better, maybe because it's more popular, but please correct me if I'm wrong because I don't have much experience with video editing. I have used Windows Movie Maker years ago for several school projects, but umm... let's just say they weren't my best piece of work and I'm definitely not putting them into my portfolio :P.

My main specs:

i5 3570k, HD7950, 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD (primary boot drive), 2TB HDD

Despite still having AMD GPU, I'm totally okay with softwares that have the advantage of utilizing CUDA because next year I'm planning on upgrading my GPU but still don't know whether I'll go AMD or Nvidia.

If your gonna get premier pro you might as well get the whole CC collection

That thought have crossed my mind once, but I'm worried that it'll just be a total waste of money since I don't know whether I'll be using them all or not.

Try Hitfilm 3 Express, it has done everything I've ever wanted it to do.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

No, this is not for school project, this is simply for editing gameplay footage to be uploaded on Youtube. I'm thinking of starting my own channel next year.

Movie Studio is basically a watered down version of Sony Vegas, for most gameplay edits it's more than enough. I believe it also takes better advantage of OpenCL than it does CUDA.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
