Need help building a cheap, Mini-ITX Gaming rig.

Hey there! I am considering to buy some components for a cheap, Mini-ITX gaming rig. This is the first time I've ever tried doing this so I would like some help.

Here are the parts that I am considering to buy/have salvaged:

Motherboard: ASUS H81I-PLUS, Socket-1150 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132041&cm_re=asus_h81i-plus_mini_itx_lga1150-_-13-132-041-_-Product
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 An. Edition - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117374&cm_re=pentium_g3258-_-19-117-374-_-Product
GPU: Geforce GTX 660 (Salvaged)
SSD: Seagate Momentus Thin 500GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822178252&cm_re=Seagate_Momentus_Thin_500GB-_-22-178-252-_-Product
PSU: Corsair 600W 2x6pin (Don't know full name, Salvaged)
RAM: Kingston DDR3 2x4GB (Don't know full name, Salvaged)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 110 Mini-ITX Black

OS: Pref. Windows 7, maybe Windows 10

EDIT: I may have scared some when I said "(Salvaged)". What I meant by that is that I have re-purposed them from my brother's old computer, I didn't actually find them in a junkyard or something, they are perfectly functional, just old.

I'd like to know if there are any compatibility issues with the parts I have selected, I'd also like to know if I will be able to overclock the CPU (Pentium G3258) with the corresponding hardware.

I am also considering to switch out the Motherboard with an AMD ASUS AM1I-A, Socket-AM1 and also switch out the CPU with an AMD Athlon X4 840.

What do you think I should do? Are the parts compatible with each other? Will I be able to overclock? Should I go for the AMD or the Intel route? I'd like to hear your feedback.
Thanks in advance to whomever may answer this!

A scavenged CX 600 is sketchy af. You dont need a thin HDD, ITX cases have mounts for full-sized HDDs. Try to get a i3, some games don't launch with only 2 cores.

If you are going to go AMD, go with an Athlon 860k and a wifi enabled mobo. Though I still don't recommend it if you plan on upgrading the system.

The G3258 chip is close to being irrelevant at this point (Dual core without hyper-threading is a REALLY bad idea right now.), just go with an i3 or go used. (I will help you pick used parts if you go that route.)

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Very true, could cause a fire.

Games like GTA and Far Cry 4 don't launch on dual cores. Games are starting to use more cores. Get a quad core like an i5 if you can afford it, if not, get an APU like a A10 6800k or something similar.

Hey there, As I mentioned I am on a fairly tight budget, most of you recommended that I should get a better CPU as Dual Core just isn't going to cut it for most games today.
With that in mind should I go for the AMD Route? Remember I am on a fairly tight budget, I can max go to $70 to $100 on my CPU and for my motherboard, I prefer staying at the $60 to $80 range. Are there any good Intel CPU's for this price range? I have heard so much good stuff about the Intel Pentium G3258 An. Edition, but still you guys recommend that I should go for a Quad-Core CPU instead.
I should clarify, this will be a LAN - ITX - Mini - Gaming PC, It will primarily run CS:GO, Rocket League, Dead Realm and games like that. This won't be a Farcy 4 or GTA5 PC, not at all.

So with that in mind, should I change my list? Switch to AMD and go Athlon 860K instead? I'd like your updated opinions following this statement. This won't be a "will upgrade in the future" setup, I just want a cheap ITX gaming PC that will handle most "normal" games, or maybe even use it as a gift for my Mac loving cousin.
Thanks in advance yet again!
