How hard would it be to shorten them?

It should be fairly simple and shouldnt take long. You will need to drain the liquid out, then measure how long you want the tubes to be. Cut them with sharp scissors and get a clean cut. Then just refill the loop and you should be fine.

Thank you! At the moment i'm deciding on whether i should go with the define r4 or the air carbide 540, it seems a lot of people like the R4 though!

Just do what you like mate, it could be beneficial to get some opinions but if you still like the Air 540, it's a great case, go ahead choose the one you like not the one which is most voted :). As I said earlier I personally think this rig would fit better in the 540, but that's just me.

Another build change! I will be building in the corsair 750D if it is a good price! It's so good looking

Awesome, definitely seems like a great case especially if you're not going full blown custom liquid cooling immediately, it shouldn't look empty liek the 900D but it should still allow space to expand and upgrade if you want later on.

And the price will be great on it. It's expected to cost around $179-$189! that would be amazing. Way more affordable than a $300 900D that i would never fill up.

If anyone wants to have some fun throw some builds options at me. Here is the base build currently http://pcpartpicker.com/user/airtree/saved/2gM8

I see you chose the gigabyte ud3h, are you going to use that instead of the msi mpower board. If so are you going to do anything about the blue accents, or just leave them.

I think it will fit better in an Air 540 but if the Corsair 750 is reasonable( probably not) go for it

I'm going to do something about the blue accents, most likely use some vinyl mesh.

And wow this thread is pretty damn popular for still being a month or so off from being built.

If you do go with the ud3h i cant wait to see how the vinyl will look. I was dissapointed to find out that haswell had no grey and black themed boards.

Yeah i'm on the same boat, if we lived in a perfect world the Gigabyte ud3 would be in the haswell line up :(

Yep, thats a perfect black and grey themed mobo. Someone told that Galaxy is making a HOF mobo that is black and white, but since its their first mobo I would be kind of worried about it. But hopefully mobo manufacturers make some more Haswell motherboards with differnt color schemes. I just really want to do a grey/black/white themed build with a video card that has the titan shroud on it.

Good news, Im not sure if you were worried about shortening the tubes on the H220, but it doesnt void the warranty with Swiftech if you do. I emailed them, because I was planning on doing it myself, this was there response.

"First off, shortening the tubing on this kit won’t void your warranty. Second, the best thing to do would be to re-use the coolant. You can do this by simply draining it into a clean container and then using it to refill your kit. I hope this answers your questions and let me know if you need any further assistance."
