I voted no for most since:

  • as much as I love the case, I'm slightly bored of seeing R4 builds (if you prefer that case go right ahead of course, same goes for the rest of the stuff)
  • Dominator ram has both greys and blacks so it matches perfectly
  • h100i and x60 are both good, x60 edges it out in performance but that probably doesn't matter much if you get new fans, the corsair would look much more appropriate in that case and it's definitely been tried and tested many times judging by how many people use them.

As for motherboard, I voted for both because I'm really not sure, the Sabertooth would definitely fit and wouldn't require any minor modding but the MPower would probably look more unique and doesn't have brown slots/heatsinks and the matt PCB and wrap would probably make it match the rest of the theme much better.

You might want to try making a mockup of the MPower before deciding.

Do you think if i get 50Ft of each colour of  LC Teleios will that will be enough to sleeve all my cables?

You should measure your cables, then buy  the sleeving.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Here's a picture of the G skill Sniper ram with the sticker taken off.  I personally did it myself and it looks very nice. Can't wait for the rest  :)

Yes, it was insanely easy.  It only took me a minute.  Even if there is some glue residue left when you peel it, you can easily use your finger.  I also have the Define R4.  Solid case and I recommend it for silent builds.

Did they come off easy?

And it seems the define r4 is really popular ^_^

Well to be fair, the R4 is an amazing case for a mere $80. The price on that thing has been dropping constantly, especially for the windowed version. However the expandability on the R4 is a little to be desired for as you would require quite a bit of modding to mount radiators and such. Even then the options are limited.

Yeah i'm torn between the 540 and the define r4 because they are both beautiful cases.

Also i feel like i'm beating my self up because i'm waiting for the 9970 series... Just look at the gtx 780 HOF

Possibly longer, just depends how all out on the colour red the reference 9xxx series cards are, if they are too red i might just have to wait for a non reference design.

I'm not sure if the white PCB would fit too well in black/grey build TBH.

The pcb is not too noticeable once you install it since it has heatpipes somewhat taking the eye off the pcb.

galaxy_GTX780HOF_2.jpg

Oh and after looking up the cable length on silverstones website it takes about 132Ft of braid or plastic sleeving to do the psu besides the sata  connectors, floppy  connectors, and Peripheral connectors (wtf do you use peripheral connectors for anyways?) and floppy connectors are pretty outdated now and i probably wouldn't use them.

Yeah peripheral connectors are pretty outdated, used to be you had to use them for everything, optical drives, hard disks, graphics cards, fans etc. Now you hardly ever use them unless you're running a fan controller a pump or feeding extra power to the motherboard if you're going crazy with multi GPU overclocking.

So i'm assuming 150ft in total of everything is a pretty good amount so i have some leeway so if i screw up a little bit i will still be good. Also is 8ft of heatshrink enough for the plastic heatshrinkless method? or do you think 4ft is enough?

You should get a bit extra, in case you screw up, so 150 Ft is enough. 4 FT of HS is enough.

This build is going to take longer that i thought, with sleeving  my psu and spray painting the mesh on the air 540 (if i don't build in the define R4) At least i will have more time to sink it all in and enjoy it!

Also you could go with the swiftech h220 since it will match your black/grey color scheme

Well, he lives in 'Murica, so he cant get the H220.
