Reality check

MLG Doge

Hallo,

My current build is this http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/MLGdoge/saved/cNJRsY

And after a year of having it i have decided that now is the time to upgrade.

Budget would be nice if it stayed around £350.

I would get faster ram. Some games benefit greatly from it.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

You probably don't need an i7 or 16gb of ram. Same goes for the h100i, a noctua nhd15 would do the same for cheaper

Its an i5 and okey dokey i'll save the money on the ram.

@IanDrexP

I didnt really have a color scheme, but good point, i already have one stick of white so i thought i'd keep them both the same.

Looks good, maybe get a 256GB SSD instead of the WD Blue, unless you really need the 1TB extra

EDIT: why are you switching to a 650W PSU?

OP is going from i3 4170 to i5 4690K

Yeah. 7950 might be a bit weak, but aince you got it for cheap, i wouldn't complain.

I would maybe consider getting a newer graphics card. Maybe a 970 or 380X etc but other than that, it looks pretty good.

Switching PSU because i plan to OC the CPU and want a bit of extra headroom for a better GPU later on,  dont really trust my PSU at the moment either.

Yeah the 7950 is doing alright, i feel like the CPU is a more important change at the mo.
