CSGO DERANK WAVE ?!

I couldn't find anywhere else for info. I was GE now got derank to LEM ? I manged to get back to SMFC today but why and what was this "Derank wave" about ?

I've noticed one deranks way easier now.. I won like 2 games in a row, then lost 1 (where I was the only player with a positive kda) and I got deranked

You know what's funny ? I got a cooldown for my smurf for getting kicked out too much?! I was just trolling with a full lobby with friends then as soon as I get kicked "You've been kicked to many times 24 hour cooldown" like wtf?!

Yea it's stupid. I recently saw a streamer (anomalyXd) get banned for 7(!!!) days on his main account for kicking too many people... lmfao

Same here (im playing with my unranked newb friends too so im losing more) but im still 1-2 in KDA and ive deranked 2 times

I think it is because once people get GE they start to play ESEA, CEVO etc... That means they are occupying the space for someone else. But, NOONE plays MM once you're GE, way too many hackers it's like a free derank.

Now I am LEM and it is just ridicoulus how bad people at that rank are ... I guess I will uprank soon again.

Won 7 or so games in a row sitting around 40 kills per game on my smurf, lost one, deranked, seems legit. I've heard that Valve has made it harder to rank up and easier to derank for whatever reason, maybe try and balance out what all the VAC waves caused with mixing up skill to rank?

We did initiate a slow shift of the Skill Group boundaries recently, due to an increase in players and a substantial upward drift over time in the skill groups distribution. While this won’t impact the quality of your matches (you are matched based on an underlying rank value and not the visible Skill Group), many players will experience a change in their Skill Group as the distribution returns to a bell curve centered approximately at Gold Nova 4. We also shipped a recent update that will automatically monitor and maintain consistency of the players skill groups distribution. That should eliminate the need to make such disruptive boundary adjustments in the future.

Anomaly is one of the most toxic players out there, and basically a huge asshole to everyone. Better avoid that guy.

 

OP: I deranked from global to LEM as well, Valve did this so that there would be way less higher ranked players like globals and supremes in the game.

Smart decision of them, about time.

Yeah, all my friends except me managed to derank. Our carry went from DMG to MGE after losing 1 out of 8 games. The funny part is, I'm the worst (least consistent) player on the team, and yet I'm still MG2 (deranked last week from MGE after 8 games in a row of smurfs and wallers)

I don't even know what the fuss is about. If you play well and don't lose too many, you don't derank. So far, none of the people I play with have lost Global, and some of them who deranked a while back have gotten Global back since the ranking system changes. 

If you don't play for a while and you lose your rank, your rank gradually declines until you play again. Meaning, you could have been LEM a month ago, but as you haven't played, you may have dropped down to DMG. 

If you lose, especially at higher ranks, the game is stricter on you, and you've got more of a chance of deranking. Making ranking up and maintaining that rank harder, I see this as a good thing.

I lost 1 rank from DMG, and i was close to ranking up to Eagle, main is now MGE, but i won't struggle to get DMG again i am sure, as i do play at that level.
