When I was in High School we had drug searches a few times a year. It seemed like the same people got busted with drugs in their locker every time.

Nothing real dramatic.

Never had any school lockdowns, apart from one in elementary school. All the schools I have attended until today (high school) have been small, with less than 200 students in total. During junior high, all I saw being traded was cigarettes, and now in high school, all I see being dealt is snus (I know... Sounds lame compared to what you guys have). Guessing there's not enough market when there's only a small number of students.

That one lockdown during elementary school was because of some school shooting threat that in the end was just that, a threat, nothing more. All families apart from a few were informed, and were told to make their kids stay in their homes for that day. I was not informed, and went there like usual, wondering why the hallways are so empty, and why there was no-one, but I and some classmate at the time were present in class. We sat in the classroom for about 15 minutes, then teacher suggested that we should probably go home. At the time, I thought nothing of it, except "Yay, a day off!"

TL;DR: school shooting threat, nothing happened. Teachers were in school for some reason, and so were a few kids that weren't informed about the threat, me included.

Didn't think my childhood was this boring...

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

Once i had a lockdown because they found "White powder" in the art room

It was f*cking plaster.

It looks as if the peasants have risen up, and found swords!

But their sword's look a little short, if you know what I mean!

Good! The squires need training anyway!

I've been through several drills over my time in the U.S. school system.

My favorite was when my rocket-scientist of a biology teacher took the time during lockdown to explain her view that all teachers should carry guns because it stopped school shootings in the middle east...

Fucking brilliant woman. Linda should sign her up.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

when i was in highschool we had a couple of legit lockdown/lockout instances, something about a hostage and shooting down the street. swat came in with dogs and rifles and shit, did a sweep of the school for some reason.   i just went home.  lived 2 blocks from the school.  when security tried to stop me i just told them, i can literally see my house from the field, fuck off im leaving.  didnt tolerate shit when i was in highschool lol

This year, there have been like 2 bomb threats at the college across the street from my High School, and a kid threatened to shoot substitute teacher. None of these times was the school put on lockdown. However, my siblings to go to a Catholic School in the bad part of town, and had an armed robber being chased by the police ran into the breezeway of the church, and was tackled and arrested right then and there. This was during school hours, while kids were outside playing. Needless to say, the school was put on lockdown xD.
