AMD

Cory_plays_games

I too regret my AMD purchase. It's just plain not as good as my friends' similarly budgeted intel builds (lets not get into how badly my original parts list sucked alright?)

I'm getting an AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz processor for my build and already got it shipped out for my christmas present. What problems did you have with yours? I am not really a hardcore gamer, I can handle with lower textures and what not. Graphics card is a GTX 960 4GB. The max I would play with is 1080p GTA V on high.

In most games it's completely fine, and for certain budgets AMD makes complete sense. My problem was just that the CPU made no sense for my build's budget. Furthermore, AMD CPUs struggle in some games that only utilise one or two cores (these games are becoming fewer and farther between constantly though) like KSP or WOT.

Ah, I see. So I'll be fine, only reason I chose AMD is because I was on a strict budget, my father has been using AMD for years with no problems and good performace (3GHz Quad), and that the price for the processor and reviews on it were great.

Thanks!
