Recommended Case Fans (NZXT S340)? GPU Seems Hot

Cameronazzi

Hello all,

So yesterday I finished my PC build shown below and I've noticed that my GPU sits at around 40 degrees idle, this seems quite warm considering it is not doing anything.

CPU: i5-6600k

Cooler: Phanteks TC12DX_WT

Mobo: Asus Z170-A
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8GB DDR4 3000MHz

Storage: SanDisk Ultra II 960GB SSD

GPU: Sapphire R9 390 Nitro 8GB w/ Backplate

PSU: EVGA G2 650W 80+ Gold

Extra: NZXT Hue+

What cooling set-up do you recommend for case fans in the S340?

I currently have the two 120mm exhaust fans installed and that is all.

My PSU is taking air from the bottom of the case and I don't have any fans in the front as intake... should I?

If so, what would you recommend? High static pressure? High speed?

I don't want loud fans, and preferably white (or black) to match my black/white theme.

Many thanks,

Cameron

Okay, thanks!

I plan on getting at least 1 intake fan anyway, do you have any recommendations?

Corsair SP120's are good, and the Noctua Pressure optimized fans are good ( I forgot what they are called, SP 12 or somethings like that)

Hows the under load temps? Those will gain more from case fans.

I haven't stress tested - but never exceeded 60 playing Dirt Rally/Borderlands 2 etc

60c is low. You're fine up to 80-90c at load and idle temps don't really matter.
