So i was wondering.. what if the psu wires faced to the inside from where they usually are. Like imagine instead of putting the psu in its normal position, they made a psu designed to let wires face in so you wont see them from the psu. The wires coming out would just face the side panel behind the mobo

It would need to be a new set standard since most cases have a steel panel there, which is why PSU covers got very popular in many case designs.

1) PSUs are longer than they are wide, so that would not fit in a standard width case

 

2) the power plug would be on the side of the case, you would need a power extension to be built into the case

 

3) the cables sticking out the back of the PSU would have very little room to cable manage due to the side panel being right behind it
