260x or MSI 7950

I have a 260x but I can buy a msi 7950 from a friend for $150, is it worth the upgrade? I plan on lite coin mining with the 260x

7950 is a ton faster. a 7950 is a r9 280.

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

what's wrong with chewing celery, with a nice dip it's pretty good.  :unsure:

You waste more energy chewing it, than what you get from it. It's like drinking water from the ocean when you're thirsty.

HD7950 is way faster, nearing 2x 260 performance (not exactly double but its close)

Thats how good it is!

Plus HD7950's are known for their OC prowess as well on top of the stock performance.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Nah, drinking water from the ocean when you're thirsty gives you salt poisoning. The celery analogy sufficed.

It's the same thing. You don't eat celery when you're starving and you don't drink salt water when you're thristy.
