There isn't really a way.... you can't change the sensor...

What you CAN do is ensure that your subject is well lit when recording. This will help immensely.

ESXi SysAdmin

I have more cores/threads than you...and I use them all

filters won't help, good lighting will.

There are some cases with lens on them which might help.

What? You cannot "increase" the quality, quality is determined by the sensor and the optics - you are limited to what the camera can do

HOWEVER Download "filmic pro" its a great app, lets you choose the bitrate and recording resolution - I can actually record higher than 1080p on my iPhone 6, and can record at 50mbps

It also has loads of other good features

there might be other similar apps too

BUT - honestly the standard camera app is  like 99% of the best you can get - buy some softboxes and a tripod

I have a tripod and one studio light, but what do softboxes do exactly?

They diffuse the light

This is the best option.

If anything clip on lenses actually slightly reduce the video quality
