Ultra on WoW

So i am building a unit for a friend out of some spare parts I have. he only plays WoW. The cpu is i5 2500k 3.3ghz and the GPU would be a HD6870 (only thing i have laying around. 16 gb of ram

Edit: would this be able to run WoW on ultra?

I doubt it.  The WoW engine has improved a lot graphically so the 6870 would be a definite bottleneck.  The CPU is still alright, although a hefty overclock might be needed.

I havent played WoW for, like 10 Years, but even back than a potatoe could run it. Did it change that much?

Thank you all for the help. After building the unit and after the installiation. It does run WoW on ultra. Thank you very much
