Anyone have an ideas for laptop mods?

Guest

I think I figured out my laptop, it does look like I forgot a power button cable. The plastic fan guard on the bottom is pretty thick so I think I'm going to remove every other one for better airflow. Also I'm going to slap an arch sticker on the back. Anyone have any other ideas for improving laptop performance/appearance?

Step 1) Buy a new laptop

Don't have the money to spend on that, and with arch it should be fairly fastish

Add two slide out monitors behind the back of the first one

That would be pretty badass, but pricey. My laptop isn't worth it.

Well you could add Apple and Razer stickers.

The Razer stickers will make it faster and the Apple stickers will keep it classy. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I can do vinyl stickers so I totally could. I'm going to put an arch one on it.

Alright I had another idea and I think it's gonna work. I'm going to remove the cd drive and replace it with another hard drive and a usb hub, might even try to put an sd card slot or something in there too.

My brother used my dremel to cut air vents in the bottom of his laptop because it was constantly crashing due to overheating (dell inspiron). Hasn't had a single thermal related crash in the three years since.

Simply replacing the stock thermal paste can vastly improve your thermals. I've had to replace the stuff on high end Msi laptops even because it had started to dry up. I use gelid extreme.
