You have rapid mode enabled, which uses your RAM as cache.

Oh that makes sense, since ram has speeds easily over 5000 megabytes per second,

I didnt know that.. So we can use our RAM to make our storage drive faster?

If you have a Samsung SSD you can, but I'm pretty sure it only works with Samsung drives.

Intel has similar thing, Smart Response Technology, its built into their chipsets(pretty sure its Z67 and up), but instead of using RAM it uses another SSD.

Yea I do have Samsung Evo 850 250GB here. I havent opened it yet since im waiting for my other stuff to arrive. If I plug this in does it come with software for me to do that? Or I should download it from their website?

*Pardon me TS for asking others on your thread.

Edit:

Additional Question.. How much RAM does it use?

It might come with it on the drive, not sure, but you download it here if it doesn't: http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/support/downloads.html
