AX760 or AX860 PSU?

Go to solution Solved by thekeemo,

Even when I overclock?

Even when you SLI

Hi,

My planned specs are in my signature (I already have some of the parts)

I have a 4930k (6 core) and I am wanting to overclock it to about 4.4GHz with a Noctua NH-D15

I also have the windforce 780ti and I was wondering if the Corsair AX760 would be enough to power an additional card, both cards would be overclocked to about 1100Mhz

I ran this setup through many online PSU calculators and they are saying that I need a PSU that is over 1000w to run 2 GPU's but I was Wondering if the AX760 would do it (or the AX 860)

I don't play many demanding games (CS-GO), I am mainly wanting this build for video editing

Thanks,

Adobez

Ok sweet, Thanks Guys also what is the benefit of getting the "i" series PSU?

You get Corsair Link, which is their digital system monitoring thingie.

But its too overpriced for me I would go with the G2 series from EVGA

And is that worth paying the extra $$$$ for?

Depends on whether you want the functionality or not. Personally I think a PSU is a PSU, I don't mind if it isn't there.

For me it would depend on how much difference there is in the price.

Personally, it isn't. I'd rather save money and get the G2 850W/750W from EVGA.
