FX-8320 overclock with a Hyper 212 EVO and a CX600

What should my overclock be? I have a 212 Evo which has always keeped my 8320 really nice and cool but now i figured I should use my 212 Evos full potential and at least make it a 8350 (4.0GHz) sometimes i notice the CPU does spike to 4.0GHz on ASUS CPU-Z.

 

I have a ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard which works solid and no issues with it, it was one of the more pricey 970 boards at the time of purchase. I also have a CX600 :D no issues with it but i fear one day it might go Michael Bay like that one video i saw. My watt usage on PCPartpicker is 439-444w right now

Leave the voltage as it is and set your core clock to 4.4 GHz. My previous FX-8320 can run at 4.4 GHz with stock voltage.

Where you also using a 212 evo? Did the temps increase by much?

With your rig, the CX600 isn't...really that bad, honestly.

 

Don't expect it to wreck your system for a while yet. Though honestly, I wouldn't do a particularly heavy overclock on that PSU.

No, back then I was using a CoolerMaster Seidon 120M. It performs a bit better than a 212 EVO but I wasn't getting much higher temps since no additional additional voltage was added. Changing voltage most directly impacts change in temperatures and clock speed is much less of an impact, if at all noticeable.

Do it like this guy said...I got mine running at 4.3GHz on stock voltage

I got it 4.0GHz and the voltage does not go above 1.4V when at max i think that was the same when it was at 3.5 I believe. I think I will go to 4.2GHz now.
sorry for no screenshot, imgur was not uploading anything on desktop. It never goes above 1.3 on my 4.2 overclock which is good right? I shall keep at this NmTW4Jb.jpg

 


On HWmonitor the temps at regular load are 16-30C on the first 2 packages and a stable 39C on the last one which shows all the cores at max 4.2
so all lookin good boys?
