(assuming you mean response time, which you shouldn't really pay any attention to) The BenQ XL2420Z is probably one of the best 1080p 144Hz monitors. And the LG 29UM65-P is an Ultrawide without a massive price tag. Couldn't he just get a XL2411Z for cheaper over the XL2420Z. As far as i know the only major difference between them is the Displayport(20z) vs D-L DVI(11z). So unless hes planning on connecting the monitor to a laptop it should not matter that much.
