QNIX QX2710 vs. Samsung S29E790C

I was pretty set on getting the Qnix QX2710, but with the recent plethora of Black Friday sales, the Samsung S29E790C looks quite tasty! I do mostly gaming, and when I'm not I'm using multiple windows (which I usually have locked to either side). Is it worth giving up the 1440p and the extra money for the curve and name brand?
