Skylake and DDR4 vs Skylake and DDR3 vs Haswell refresh and DDR3?

Hi All,

 

I just wanted to get some thoughts on these upgrade routes (in UK btw and looking at a max budget of £300, although lees if I can)...

I wouldn't recommend Skylake and DDR3, it's not the best and RAM speeds affect some Skylake CPUs

The third one by far. It uses DDR4 and has a LGA 1151 socket along with a Z170 mobo, which are as future-proofed as you can get.

The haswell one would be best if you had a z97 board and planned to overclock, otherwise the third option
