    I have this monitor and it is great! 1ms response time 2560x1440 144hz and it has Freesync. I had it with my 390 cfx setup and am now running with a gtx 1080 - monitor is great!

    I'd agree with @App4that. I had the 390 Nitro, two in fact and I found 1440 playable. I now have the 1080 and that was a hell of a jump even from two 390's. But I would upgrade to a 6700k and a Z-170 and then wait for 1080 prices to come down or wait for 1080ti or Vega.
