Wan Show Logo Render

I was watching the latest WAN Show episode, and I decided to just make a little render while I listened to the information and amusement flow into my ears.  I hope some of you like it.

            It wasn't a very advanced render, if you would like, you can download the full version, which also features transparency.  Full Resolution: 5,000x5000

 It's the not that version of the logo, it's the version you see ON the WAN Show, or at least the last few episodes.

looks pretty good! the "show" in the middle is a little distracting though and would not hold up well if it was icon sized. 

You have a point, I realize that it is distracting, but the original logo was meant to be any size, this render I basically just made for the artistic purpose.  Thanks for the feedback!

OK OK, whoops, yeah, I forgot, I did make it a little "lopsided" Because when I had it like normal, having the "show" text there looked strangely out of place.

Maybe refrain from insulting me and initially the poster and appreciate a bit of effort for once, which stating blunt and mundane criticism does not convey whatsoever! Did he say 'This is going to replace the WAN logo'? No. He said this was something he put together whilst listening to the show for fun (enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure.)

Anyway as to not clog up this thread with unproductive argument, pm me any replies that include inferred insults!

 

Also @Sinder5 I think it would look better to have the 3D shadow effect on one side rather than all, makes it look a little more organised in my opinion!

Maybe find a better way to add in 'Show' to make it easier to read, as has been said

I pointed out a mistake, which OP acknowledged.

That does not mean I did not appreciate his effort.

I know his render is very good, and I know it was done for fun, not to replace the actual logo. Doesn't mean I can't point out that its lopsided.

Woah dude, calm down please.  It's not an official logo of course, but it is a personal rendition of the original.  So sir, if you don't consider it to be a logo of any sort, then what would you go about calling it?  BTW I accept my "mistake" in rotating the logo, my apologies.

also, i am calm, idk how you can know if i am calm or not based on text on the internet

     Yeah...  thanks for trying to stop an argument.   The reason there are so many shadows is because I like to use lamps to illuminate each of the three hexagon shaped tiles, so that gives it a 4-way shadow effect.

Never used Blender but the layout vastly resembles 3DS Max!

In that case it might be more effort than it's worth, it makes sense though as you'd defiantly want all three hexagons to be well lit.

Looks great, if I had to make a suggestion, light it from the top. The shadows around the hexagons are kind of weird and confusing

   Great suggestion, But I tried that originally, the render looked really boring, the sheer lack of shadows made it look very flat, and the large hexagons were just one color, no gradient goodness going on.  So it's kind of necessary to have multiple lights, and that causes multiple shadows.
