When will a GPU with these specs+price come?

How long(years) will it be until we get a GPU with a minimum of 40% but probably 60% better than GTX 970 and with 6 to 8GBs of VRAM at the price of a 390/970?

Two to three years is a good estimate.

I think the 980ti is close to that performance but still a long shot off price wise. so 2 years is my guess for that performance at that price tag.

I say 3 years because generations take a very long time to release. I mean look at the 970 itself, it's more than a year old already...

I vote around 2 years.  By then we will be on the generation that comes AFTER Pascal.

I would say around 5 years because not only is the price going to be high but 40% to 60% better then a GTX 970 is still far off. We also have the heat output that GPUs are putting out.

i Feel like in the past say the 780TI was a high end high price the next generation 970 is  similar but half the price. the 970 is already over a year old will probably have something in the lines between 980 and 980ti for the pascal card taking the 970s spot  in the next year and be around the price range hes looking for and the next generation after that isnt 5 years away and would deffiently be better then what hes asking for i think 

 

Pascal will probably be close to what hes asking but not quiet it and the next generation after that will surpass his expectations in this price category otherwise
