I think it is quite ugly.

agreed. tis probably the ugliest faptop ive seen in a while. Altough I do respect the hardware as it it ballin as hell.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Basically as close as you can get. 960m preforms very similar in most games at 1080p to a 750ti, while having a pretty darn decent storage setup, i5-4460 equivalent processor and 8GB ram.

Above.

I wouldn't mind a 6200U instead, but the i5 quadcore isn't a bad egg...

Just buy a desktop 980. Cheaper.

Put it in a Micro ITX system.

You cant really compare a Micro ITX system to a laptop because laptops are far more portable and convenient. If your making a Micro ITX system for portability/convenience then it really isn't even worth it except maybe for lan parties, because no matter how compact a case your able to stuff your desktop components into, your still stuck lugging around a bulky monitor and peripherals. Until someone makes an ITX case with a built in keyboard and screen, this will never be a viable replacement for a laptop.

Don't do drugs. Do hugs!

Personally I'd take the SSD instead for 50 bucks more without an issue. (its sata m.2 natively, so you can add mass storage separately). HDD in laptops is an accident waiting to happen, plus a real hog later in life.

But hey, as I said, it's about the closest currently on the market.

They are comparable. I'm not sure I'd call one better than the other (BTW that is almost identical to the model I picked up for my parents over the summer new on ebay for 750 USD).

SSD and lower power consumption chip vs more storage and 30 dollars cheaper...

It's not a bad laptop, but one small gripe about it is the red only backlighting is software controlled and doesn't come on till you log into your computer (making turning it on in the dark a little bit annoying sometimes.)

That one is a bit better imho. SSHD vs SSD for 50 bucks is a hard choice to make. I might personally grab the SSD, but most people should and would grab the SSHD.
